We won’t hold it against you, if of our whereabouts.. you’re not too sure.
Tucked up a little lane, we’ve been told we’re a hidden gem . . .
& once you find us, we hope you’ll be hooked to return again & again.
A secret mystical oasis . . . An exciting enchanting surprise . . .
Hidden away from all the hustle, bustle & passing prying eyes . . .
Yet a mere stones-throw away from North Bar . . .
Some say it’s a curious treat when they discover where we are,
Marvel in your own little fairytale . . . Get carried away on sun kissed rays . . .
A magical escape . . . get lost in our world, anytime you need to fly away . . .
An Aladdins cave of intrigue, a bohemian enigmatic delight . . .
Even if we are a little . . . tucked, out of sight . . .

How to Find Us

Inspiration is situated in the Grade II listed Old Granary, just 20m down Vicar Lane off North Bar Within, Beverley’s oldest and most prodigious shopping street.

Driving from Hull

Coming into Beverley on the A164, follow the signs for town centre. Just after the first set of traffic lights once you’ve reached the town centre you have an option to turn right or go straight on. Do not turn right past St Mary’s Church but rather go straight on, passing Beverley Arms on your left and Vicar Lane is the second left (in between Pizza Express & Broughton’s Shoe Warehouse). If you pass through the Bar (sadly you can’t order a drink at this Bar, it’s actually the last standing medieval town gate) you’ve gone too far.

Driving from York

Arriving on the outskirts of Beverley on the A1079, turn onto the A1035 follow signs for Beverley town centre. You pass the Beverley race Course on your left hand side and descend into Beverley acoss the magnificent Westwood Pastures (in summer months watch for the cows, there not that bright I’m afraid!) You’ll come to a set of traffic lights at the bottom of the hill with the black & white Rose and Crown pub on your left & eh Siam Lion Thai restaurant ahead of you. Turn right at these lights through the Bar and you are in North Bar Within. Vicar Lane is the second road on the right.

Parking

If you’re just popping in to see us or are here for an evening event then there is parking in North Bar Within (free at night but £0.50 per hour during the day). If these are full then you can park through the Bar in North Bar Without. For anything over 2hrs parking during the day there are a number of long term car parks in Beverley. The nearest of these is situated in Grayburn lane, off Lairgate (the main road into Beverley from Hull) so turn left into Grayburn Lane by the Pisces Fish Shop & Lairgate Hotel. Parking is £5 per day.
